We are coordinating a Health Equity Fellowship that consists of a series of weekly webinars featuring multi-disciplinary public health experts exploring the health and life outcomes of marginalized and vulnerable communities.
The Zoom webinars will occur on Mondays from 12:30 pm-2:00 pm over 8 weeks, June 8- August 3. They are open to community members, students, and professionals working within communities of color. We are hoping to capture the information shared over the webinar series and save it as a lasting community resource.
We ask that students invested in the webinar series:
- Read/Watch Pre-work assignment(s) prior to attending the week’s webinar.
- Attend 90-minute weekly webinar
- Participate in discussion on the webinar during the Q & A portion.
- Respond to 3 reflection questions after each webinar.
In addition to the webinar series, students engaged in the fellowship are invited to participate in two different paths for contributing to PNLV’s agenda to work to disrupt the pain and damage inflicted on marginalized communities by the health care system and to equip them with the knowledge, community, and courage to build more equitable organizations and communities.
