The newly formed Easton Hunger Coalition invites all groups, agencies, non-profits, government officials, congregations and interested citizens to a COMMUNITY FORUM to be held Tuesday, October 7, at 1:30 pm at the Nurture Nature Center, 518 Northampton Street in Easton.
The meeting will include a community dialogue to build an organization that supports sustainable solutions to the local hunger issues that are experienced by the Easton area population. The event’s KEYNOTE SPEAKER is Ms. Susan Topping, who is the Program Director of the Capital Area Food Bank’s Healthy Eating Department, in Washington DC. Ms. Topping, who hails originally from the Lehigh Valley, will share information about their successful programs, such as their Contract Growing Programs, their coordination of services, and their regional approach.
The meeting is open to any interested individuals or groups who are engaging in work that intersects directly or indirectly with the local hunger issue. All are welcome. RSVPs are requested to reserve space, and may be sent to Rachel Hogan Carr at Nurture Nature Center at firstname.lastname@example.org.
